Side-Link System
Available in 18mm, 24mm and 28mm diameter links, the Side-Link System is the original Forest Machine Track design.
The track plates wrap around the tyre with the link system attached at the track plate ends, approximately 100mm below the tyre surface. This low position of the links can cause a scrabbling effect when driving.
Advantages of Side-Link System
- Easy to fit and tension on tyres.
- Lighter in weight than comparable tracks in other designs.
- Lower price due to lower manufacturing costs.

Side-Link System Tracks Suitability
Side-Link tracks are ideal for use on harvesters and other machines which carry out little intersite movement, but require the traction, flotation or stability of tracks.
N.B. Side-Link tracks are not suitable for use with traction grip tread pattern tyres, eg. Nokian TRS LS-2.
Track Features
With the side-link system, the link system is placed to each side of the tyre approximately 100mm down from the tyre surface.
